Calcination and Acid Roasting Sections of Yahua Phase III Meeting Production Target Smoothly

On Sept. 27th, 2025, the Acid Roasting System of Sichuan Yahua Industrial Group Co., Ltd. High-grade Lithium Battery New Energy Material Production Line Construction Project (hereinafter referred to as Yahua Phase III) reached design capacity smoothly with lithium residue indicators meeting requirements. Sichuan Calciner Technology Co., Ltd. (SCT) was responsible for the design and key equipment supply of the project. It symbolized that Calcination and Acid Roasting Sections designed by SCT had reached design target comprehensively. 

The Calcination Section of Yahua Phase III, using the mainstream process of Two-stage preheater + calciner kiln + 4th generation grate cooler, had such advantages as high waste heat utilization, stable conversion calcination, and superior conversion rate. The section was put into operation on Aug. 23rd, 2025 for the first time and met production targets rapidly after only three days of operation.

Besides, Yahua Phase III also used the multi-burner acid roaster with the largest single train production capacity in China independently designed by SCT, which had accurate subarea temperature control capability, and flexibility to adapt to heat energy need of different grades of spodumene concentrate, thereby maximizing acidification rate. The system heat rate had reduced gradually with continuous optimization. Currently, it was controlled steadily under 8Nm³/t calcined materials.

The acid roaster used External water sprinkling + internal tube structure initiated by SCT, which could operate stably and present remarkable effect. The acid roasting system was put into operation on Sept. 12th, 2025 initially and reached design capacity within two weeks only, achieving effective production.

Its worth noted that Yahua Phase III Pyromet Section and Hydromet Section met production target smoothly within one month of production, creating the fastest speed in the lithium salt industry! 

Calcination and Acid Roasting Sections of Yahua Phase III met production target within quite a short time, which was another excellent project case created by SCT. The project had drawn on experience of Phase I and Phase II. Therefore, the process was maturer and the operation was stabler, making it have such advantages of lower energy consumption, better quality and faster production while capable of adapting to different grades of spodumene concentrate feedstock.
